Workouts for December 2-7

Welcome back after a little vacation! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. You guys have improved so much as a team and as individuals over the first half of the season! I hope that you all can see your improvement and that it continues through the rest of the season. 

You have not yet played your best basketball!

Monday WOD:

Ball Handling… Two Ball Drills

Both Together 20 reps

Alternating 20 reps

Both Together Low 20 reps

Both Together High 20 reps

Alternating Low 20 reps

Alternating High 20 reps

Right Hand around right leg while the left hand dribbles in front 20 reps

Left Hand around left leg while the right hand dribbles in front 20 reps

Form Shooting: Stand with your nose right under the front of the rim. Hit 10 swishes. Standing right under the rim will force you to have a high release and will develop good touch with your follow through.

Free Throws: Hit 10

Three Pointers: Hit 10

Mikan Drill: Hit 20 Lay Ups

Free Throws: Hit 10

Three Pointers coming off one dribble: Hit 10

Note: With the following drills. Finish your lay ups off of one foot and two feet. Also shoot right hand, left hand, and reverse layups. Be creative and have fun! Imagine you are in a game finishing in traffic.

Jab step right-go right and finish with a lay up: Hit 10

Shoot Two Free Throws

Jab step right-go left and finish with a lay up: Hit 10

Shoot Two Free Throws

Shoot 25 threes and 25 free throws: Post how many you make!

100 Push ups

Tuesday WOD:

Do this ball handling drill sometime during the day! Shoot 50 Free throws and post how many you make.

 

Wednesday WOD:

Windshield Wiper 20 reps

Walk the Dog 20 reps

Golden State: See how many threes you can hit without missing two in a row. Give it a few tries and post your best number!

Single leg Wall sit: Squat down like you would for a normal wall sit but then left one leg. Do three sets of holding for 30 seconds on each leg!

Thursday WOD:

Do the same work as yesterday but add 100 push ups either in the morning when you get up or at the end of the day.

Friday and Saturday:

On Friday you will have time during the day to get this quick ball handling and shooting work in before our games. I don’t know the schedule for Saturday, but I’m sure you can find time to do the ball handling drills in between games.
